About

Yukonography is a magazine column and blog written by Mark Koepke.

That would be me. —–>

My parents moved to Whitehorse, Yukon in 1970. They came for two years. Right around the time they were supposed to leave, I arrived.

I still live in Whitehorse, where I routinely visit my parents, who have progressed precisely -1.2 kilometers towards my mother’s long-standing goal to escape the territory.

I started writing my Yukonography column for above&beyond magazine in 2007. I also produce the radio series Smells Like Yukon, contribute to CBC North, and write the occasional freelance article.
